Books
I read on average about seven books a month. The books I want to read haven’t been written yet

Some Worth Mentioning

This is one of my all-time favorite books. I read it during a difficult time in my life and somehow it captured me. Many years later, my wife was in a Book Club and they were reading this book. I decided to join the Book Club and have been in it for 18 years now.
A Swim In The Pond in the Rain

A Swim in a Pond in the Rain by George Saunders is a book that serves as a masterclass on writing, reading, and life, based on his Syracuse University course on 19th-century Russian short stories. It features seven stories by Chekhov, Turgenev, Tolstoy, and Gogol, accompanied by Saunders’s essays that analyze how the stories work and what they reveal about human connection and the mechanics of fiction. The book is for anyone interested in how stories function and why they remain relevant, exploring themes of truth, connection, and the purpose of literature.
I’ve read this book 3 times. I’ve done both audio and the hardcopy. There are a few short stories in here that resonate and inspire. They include Aliosha The Pot and The Nose amongst others.
I had to change the theme to this prompt. But then again the more we know the more we know we don’t know. There is a book that sits on our bookshelf by Kate Atkinson that I want to read so bad. I started it twice and did not finish it.
