Not So Different Times

Good morning on this fine day that is known as Friday. It looks like rain will be settling with us for the weekend, and that’s a real good thing.

In 1968, a series of protests at Columbia University in New York City were one among the various student demonstrations that occurred around the country and that year the Columbia protest erupted over the spring of that year after students discovered links between the University and the institutional apparatus support in the United States involved in the War as well as their concern over an allegedly segregated gymnasium to be constructed in the nearby Morningside Park . The protest resulted in the student occupation of many university buildings in the eventual Violent removal of protesters by the New York City Police Department

So protests are not a new thing and protest do actually work. It is also worth stating that the police have been jack asses as we go through our short history. Hell the police were formed as a gesture of discrimination and a stab at white superiority. So things haven’t changed in a real long time. We have less wars and I can only infer the reason for that however we have way more out right racism right out in the open. These are different times but they’re pretty much the same.
