Learning New Languages

1–2 minutes
la computadora no es tan inteligente

Being a life long learner you can be a pleasant pain in the ass. The new adventure is to learn Spanish and that is going a lot better then learning German. For some reason it sticks to the brain a lot easier. And there in lies the problem, which is a good problem to have. That is the Translation that is going on in your brain. Where are you must translate from English to Spanish. When we eliminate that step it all becomes that much easier. The number of people like myself who have another translator in their CPU. There are many words and sentences or structure known in German and the brain takes a detour once in a while and transitions from English to German to Spanish to the spoken word. Which can be counterproductive.

Then we go to learning another new language. That new language being Python. In this case knowing other languages does help a lot. Computer languages have a lot of underlying similarities from one language to another so in most cases it makes the transition that much easier and in someways a lot less interesting. For many of us to joy is in learning a new language but, then again we introduce this little thing known as capitalism. Produce produce produce and get that language learned as quickly as possible. There is plenty of merit in that as in the long run we don’t want to learn a new language we just want code that does what we want it to do. But we all know there’s a lot of fun in mastering a new computer language. Despite, looming status reports and societies ever present pressure To produce. Somewhere under all of this there is pressure, or lack of pressure, To simply have fun while learning. And there’s a lot of privilege in that

Hopefully you have fun along the way
