No Electricity

Woke up in the middle of the night last night, and the electricity was out. It’s not that big of a deal when you’re trying to sleep however the backup generators were humming and an airy darkness settled into the beach town where we stay occasionally. I did take a second to walk outside and the lack of light allowed for perfect viewing of the stars. It was only a 20 second glimpse but it was pretty spectacular. Looking at the The stars without light from the earth is Not taken for granted.

We do take for granted things such as Internet, electricity and the water that we drink. It is not a given that we have these things and when we do not her our lives tend to trend toward chaos

Tangent is what I do. Right now I am using backwards technology. That is writing with a pen on a computer and translating it back to digital. We tend to work with what we are comfortable with and who knows what that is these days.And I did that backwards technology again, using a special birthday present my wife gave me. I took an actual piece of art I created with a pencil and pen uploaded it Altered it and all the sudden it was digital.

This illuminates one of the bigger problems in my life and that being where did I put my razor (actually eraser) and pencil sharpener. I’m not sure if it takes the cats out of the equation. It is all good, learning new things but for now I’m ready to head out For a simple walk on the beach.
