In hundreds of border-state households, brothers—and sisters—really did fight one another, while fathers and sons argued over secession, and husbands and wives struggled with opposing national loyalties. Even enslaved men and women found themselves divided over how to respond to the war.

In million of Divided state households, brothers—and sisters—really do fight, argue, snipe and refuse to talk to one another, while fathers and sons argued over COVID, mask requirements while struggling with opposing party loyalties. Even at risk men and women find themselves divided over how to respond to the pandemic.

Individuals such as Timothy McVeigh had free will. Free will is not a license to expose those who are vulnerable and if you think you are above the better of society, we remain deeply divided.
