Aviary Stitch and Bitch

1–2 minutes
I walked out in the yard the other day. The temperature was pushing triple digits. Warm days such as this used to be a rarity. Now they linger for a week and sometimes longer.

The birds were large as a group. The flock, loud and talkative, seemed to be saying something. The pattern was consistent and almost understandable.

For today they skipped the man made bird baths and feeders. All they could talk about was how humans have virtually destroyed their environments.

The bulldozers were bad enough, the fireworks another but what bothered them most was the warming of the planet. They abhorred the fact humans did nothing about this crisis.

And there they sat and bitched in a tree.
