What aspects of your cultural heritage are you most proud of or interested in?

I am not proud of any of my heritage. I was born into privilege and I will leave it at that.

Almost by accident, I have located second and third cousins from generations past living in Europe, especially Holland and Germany. I’m glad to have made that connection.

My heritage is my childhood. There are parts, I don’t relish in there are parts I think are pretty darn cool . This includes the foods we ate and how we played. I tried to write about them and reflect on them and mostly there are many stories to be told. And I hope to honor that.
