Butt Hutt

I used to always say, smoking won’t always kill a person, but the smoking lounge will. When I worked in Dayton Ohio, people used to gather in what we call theButt Hut.

It could be a raging blizzard and there were people out there smoking. I guess it was a cool way to get away from your desk.

Antidotally, those who went to the butt hut, got sick more often the those who did not. Cold weather doesn’t get you sick smoking does, but why let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Exeter HS Smoking Lounge

Rollback to Exeter high school circa 1980 and our high school had a smoking lounge, when I was in a high school. I hated the idea that kid could go smoke.

SFO Airports

I really don’t care anymore, I’m not sure they’re that bad of an idea. But I don’t smoke. It certainly wasn’t a good look. With the legalization of cannabis these days that equation would be quite interesting. I’ll leave that discussion for another day.

Airports have butt huts. It’s like going to the zoo you walk through San Francisco airport and you can watch people smoke with somewhat entertaining it probably safer outdoors in a raging blizzard.
