Plains Trains and My Mother In Laws Car

1–2 minutes

Think back on your most memorable road trip.

I believe it was my first time in Europe. We headed south towards Bavaria and my mother-in-laws car. We did touristy stuff such as Munich and Neuschwanstein.

That was fun, but I felt like we were just getting warmed up.

We stopped in a cozy place in Austria to wait out some heavy snow. I loved that place and did some great hiking and snowshoeing..

We followed some twisting and turning roads through the Tyrolean region eventually landing in Italy

I was pushed out of the car with a pair of skis in a raging blizzard and I just started skiing. It was my introduction to cross country skiing.

That afternoon, the weather settled down and we started hiking from hut to hut in the Alps. A few miles in I had one of the best beers I ever had in my life. It was the right beer at the right time. I believe the beer was called Adam.

Then we headed back to Germany and just did normal German touristy stuff which included having tea and cakes every afternoon. It felt almost anticlimactic, but warm and comfortable.

I have been to Germany and Europe, many times since. I’m no longer married to the same woman. I do still see that mother-in-law. (Ex) but I rarely get in a car. I kinda like it that way.
