Write about your first computer.

I was just out of undergrad months before I expected. I ran out of money and had to double up on courses. I took a job with Black and Decker in down town Philadelphia. I struggled enough with living in a big city, and getting my act together.

Black and Decker corporate asked me to configure a cheap TRs80 radio shack computer to record the daily sales and cash receipts. It wasn’t inexpensive at the time. Suddenly the job made a small slice of sense. I had something to figure out. It added an hour to my day and I was too young to let it annoy me.

That was my career for many years. Just figuring it out.
