How do significant life events or the passage of time influence your perspective on life?
Psychology 101
Significant Life Events
There are far too many permeation to even ask this questions. What defines a significant life event?
Significant life events, or “life-changing moments,” are key milestones, transitions, or traumas that fundamentally alter a person’s life trajectory, perspective, or daily routine. These often include major shifts in relationships (marriage, divorce), family structure (births, deaths), career (hired, fired, retirement), and residence (moving, buying a home).
I’m not all that unfamiliar with studies around this area. How our body manages change as dependent on the individual as well as buildup of significant life events. If any significant life events happen at the same time, it induces stress. It is at this point that we are more suspect to illness, etc..
Perspective
The life events listed above generally improve my perspective. I think change is good and getting out of our comfort zone is essential.
Things you cannot control
This is where the processing gets complex. I don’t care that much about the government of the United States but I do care about the people. The current fascist regime in the United States is taking rights away from people I care about. This taints my impression of this American life and my psyche in general.
