Who are your favorite people to be around?
The natural response is family. It is not a given for many people and I don’t take if for granted.
There are times I just want to be alone. We all need that. And I know I talked to the dogs and cats and to myself. But I’m comfortable being by myself. Being a grandparent is the coolest thing in the world.
By the end of the day, we are tired and feeling good. So there’s nothing wrong with a little time alone.
I sit here alone on a Friday morning, it’s a beautiful day in Berlin. It is so quiet and peaceful and I’d rather enjoy these moments.
Last Night
Last night, I went out with my son to meet some of his friends for a birthday party. It was myself and nine other people, half my age.
It was fun just to watch them interact with each other. I remember when that social scene was what I lived for. There were so many language spoken at the table, including Spanish German and Portuguese, and its mattering of English.
That’s not my perfect evening, but I certainly enjoyed it despite the fact that at:
10;00
All nine people at the table broke out their cigarettes (not me) because apparently you can’t smoke in a bar till 10 o’clock in Berlin.
