Most Five Year Olds Want To Be Six

When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I don’t know the answer but given who I was I imagine I wanted to get on the road and go somewhere.

I would listen to to the nearby highway and wonder where they were headed. I wanted to go there as well.

I don’t think I thought much about working. I did enjoy the idea of playing baseball as kids we played baseball all the time. While falling asleep at night I had pretend baseball games rolling around in my head. For some reason, I always included the Star-Spangled Banner. I loved that song as a kid. I think the reason I liked it was a baseball game came next.
