    Humor sometimes.

    I was writing an essay yesterday.

    The first paragraph is my writing.

    The second must have picked up by a phone conversation in the other room mixed with one with my son in Berlin.

    There was a social event in our neighborhood that I didn’t really want to go to. It was a meeting where we argued over large subjects such as how many trees to plant in the park and what vendor we should hire to refill the dogs poop bags. Our agenda today was to check the speed bumps over on Lincoln Road.

    President Donald Trump reported more than $1 billion in income tied to cryptocurrency ventures in 2025, his annual financial disclosure shows, underscoring how digital assetshave rapidly become one of the most lucrative parts of his business empire.

    Needless to say this is clearly, borderline impeachable if Anybody in government had a backbone.

    But if the president uses the office to enrich themselves—or accepts benefits tied to official actions—Congress could view it as corruption or an abuse of public trust and pursue impeachment. The Constitution’s emoluments clauses may also be relevant, especially if profits or benefits come from foreign governments; how those clauses apply to crypto arrangements is not definitively settled.     It was nice of these birds in the neighborhood to congregate and greet me as I headed out on a rainy Monday morning run. The rainyrainy season has started here in the Pacific Northwest.

    For the most part, it’s welcome as people think. It rains here all the time. We get less rain per year than watching DC. It just rains more often. Most of us living here like it.

    Especially the birds.

    What’s one thing you own that holds deep sentimental value?

    I have three T-shirts just like this. The Jaws T-shirt is worn and honor of the late Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip.after being diagnosed with brain cancer, Gord were the jaws T-shirt to the band final tour of Canada.

    I wear the shirt often.

There are a lot of patients and family that can’t get their heads out of the disease, meaning they’re refreshing the internet every half an hour, looking for something that isn’t there, that they can’t find, that we don’t know about. Travelling for second opinions, or to get bogus treatments in other places.”

    Gord didn’t do any of that, Perry said.

    “He did not think about that at all. We’d sit down and talk about a scan result….and then he’d say, ‘OK, well, I gotta go. We’ve got a rehearsal.’ He kept the blinders on, he lived his life, and he never let the disease hold him back.”

    We have a friend who lived in Colorado, who is the same fucking disease. We have a conference call with her tonight and will be deciding whether we’ll be go to Egypt to see what could be her final eclipse.. Knowing Becka it will not be..

    What’s the worst travel experience you’ve ever had?

    I went on a trip one time (this is fiction) and everything went according to plan. Every flight was on time there was no turbulence, and my gate connections were perfect.I got a middle seat, but nobody sat on either side of me.

    We went to all the tourist attractions in that city just like on the itinerary. We just wanted to check it off our checklist.We did not talk to any locals and didn’t try to learn the language.

    What a nightmare.

    I brought home saltwater taffy for everybody in the office as well as a few bags of pretzels, I stole from the

    airline.
