I am Begging You

What’s a job you would like to do for just one day?

I would rather like to spend a day sitting on a street corner with a jar in my hand asking for money. I would like to endure the insults and occasional tips of inspiration.

I would not hold a sign that says God blesses. If there was truly a god, there would be no homeless people. If there was truly a god, there would not be greedy billionaires..

I would prefer it to be a cold dreary, rainy day, where my fingers are freezing, and I barely survive the day. I need to have that feeling. I think I know what it feels like,but I’ve never felt it.

I could even extend my stay. I would like to do this in another country and see how the experience differs. In most countries, the less fortunate are taken care of better. I’m curious as to how those passing by view those on the streets..

The world is not a fair place and hopefully this understanding can help with that journey to make life a little more equitable. We only have one life to live, and the people living in the street deserve the best life they can live.
