What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Falls Church Virginia:

I was working in the accounting department on a government contract. My role was a liaison between accounting and the technical staff. After a while, I found out I really liked working on the technical side of things.

My boss gave me this Sage word of advice

People in accounting shouldn’t go into technical work, that’s a difficult transition.

It was my mission to prove him wrong. I’m retired now having a cateer, as a database programmer and various other technical skill sets.

And it helped me survive the corporate world.
