What’s the best thing you’ve ever found randomly on the street?

I got runs occasionally, with the sole purpose of finding something, then writing about it. But that’s how it happens with long distance running. You find some interesting things.

Deep in Forest Park our running group found a family living deep in the woods, and I am not sure they wanted to be found. A popular book and movie came from the discovery.

The film Leave No Trace, adapted from Peter Rock’s novel My Abandonment, which was inspired by the real-life 2004 discovery of a father and daughter who had managed to live completely undetected inside Forest Park for four years.
