    He Is

Describe a man who has positively impacted your life.

Five feet nine inches tall with brown curly hair and a cool crooked smile.

He has a wicked sense of humor and an indescribable kindness.

  • We are Not Powerless

    We are Not Powerless

Is your life today what you pictured a year ago?

    Until we are

Woke up early this morning to have no power. It was kind of nice just to take in the peace and quiet.

    Coffee

I’d like to think my life is not shaped and formed by a beverage known as coffee. However, with the power out this morning, I really wanted a cup of coffee. I don’t think it was the caffeine jolt, rather the warmth of a cup of coffee.

    Heat

It was refreshing to recognize that without electricity it’s cold. There is firewood downstairs, but we are not in the emergency situation. But it is a gentle reminder that simple things such as a cup of coffee and heat are not something to be taken for granted.

    Getting Back To Power

I am fortunate to be pretty much where I expected to be. With the current regime in power in the United States there are marginalized populations that are at risk of not enjoying things such as heat and a simple cup of coffee. It’s time to stand up for them. It always has.

  • What skills or lessons have you learned recently?

    I have always had it.

    I have TDS

I have Trump Derangement Syndrome and so does much of America and much of the world.

That’s not a confession of mental illness: it’s an indictment of a political era defined by cruelty, division, and the deliberate poisoning of democratic life.

“Trump Derangement Syndrome” is the phrase Donald Trump and his followers love to fling at anyone who dares to object to his behavior.

But the truth is simpler and far more damning: if millions of Americans and people across the globe are reacting with alarm, anger, and outrage, it’s because Trump has spent years earning that reaction.

How Much More Can America Take of “Trump Derangement Syndrome?”

  • Cliche

    Cliche

Tell us about your first day at something — school, work, as a parent, etc.

My uncle, who is a notorious non-achiever once wrote on a black board these famous words.

It should be noted that he was living at his mother‘s house at the age of 45.

    But I digress.

He wrote the words “ today is the first day of the rest of your life”

They are all unique and an opportunity.

Or stay in bed and rejuvenate tomorrow’s the same. Sorry that breaks the mojo of what I was trying to say.

    First Day Back From Overseas

In a kind of reverse world when returning from an overseas trip it takes some getting used to.

You run into someone in the street and you want to speak a different language.

You capitalize all the nouns like it is done in German

You avoid chance encounters, because you don’t feel like navigating the language.

And you realize it’s just another first day of the rest of your life.
