• Sei ein guter Nachbar

How would you improve your community?

We are on this planet within many a community. Community is where we physically live, the friends we keep the clubs we join and even friends from the past.

Where we currently live, I love the community we have built. When I go for a run in the morning, most people know me in the neighborhood. As neighbors we help each other out.

It may sound cliché, but to make it better is to be present and available. We live in a divided world, but all we can be is the best neighbor possible. Treat the people around you well and you’ve gone a long way to building a better community.

Unfortunately, we are moving in the near future. I will miss this community where we live.

I lead with the German be a good neighbor. It is that simple no matter where you live.

    Six Years After

How have you adapted to the changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic?

One of the side effects of the pandemic was a further division within the people of the United States

I am amongst the group of people who are grateful for how we have and how we as a whole got through that.

There’s another group of people who are still bitter the way that Covid was handled. They carry it around like a festering war wound.

The only absolute change I see is a newfound gratitude for what we have. I also noticed a newfound gratitude for solitude. It was a time where those seeking solitude came out of the closet.

  • La Rutina

    La Rutina

What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?

I’m not a person who’s much into routine but for most days I got up and write for an hour or two do a little bit of German and eventually head out for a run.

I’ve cut back on the coffee and drink mushroom coffee. And I’m sitting on the bed snuggled up with the dog.

Which aspects do you think makes a person unique?

Unique Splits, Databases, and Punk Bands

    Unique Splits

Reading, PA-based company with roots dating back to the late 1800s, makes unique pretzels known for their “split-open” technique and hollow shell products. Their signature products, including Splits, Shells, and Extra Dark pretzels, are slow-baked to achieve a distinct crunch and flavor, setting them apart from mass-produced brands.

    I never really liked them.

    Social Security Number

Many people think their Social Security number makes them unique. For the most part you’re correct. I used to be a database programmer so I have a little knowledge on this. Social Security numbers are not unique. There is an entire large pool of numbers that are recycled.

    Truly Unique-Skiantos

The Italian punk band most famous for “serving” spaghetti is

Skiantos. In a legendary 1979 performance at the Bologna Rock Festival, the band chose to cook and eat spaghetti on stage rather than play a single note of music.
