• Find all the unused acronyms -Part 8

What’s something most people don’t understand?

    This Diatribe

There are so many things that people don’t understand, including myself. I could write my graduate thesis on this, but for now I’m going to concentrate on the last hour in my life.

    At The Car Dealership

By the last hour in my life, I’m talking this morning and I’ll get to the last hour of my life a little later. This post most people won’t understand. Maybe when I read it tomorrow I won’t either.

I just got back from the car dealership. Many people don’t understand that most every business has the bottom line of maximize shareholder wealth. They are in the business of making as much money as possible.

    Nitrogen instead Of Air

The dealership tried to sell me putting nitrogen in the tires. There are pros and cons to that and by all means, I didn’t understand it until I researched it. Businesses prey on our lack of understanding.

    The Last Hour of Life

Who knows where we go when we die. I certainly do not. It is a concept I cannot rap my head around and I certainly don’t understand it. I do understand clearly that I don’t know. I have faith in that.

    Life Long Learning

We describe ourselves as lifelong learners. And I get that. I want to master German and learn it well but what I most want to do is understand when people are talking to me in another language.

But the one thing I do understand is the fact that the more we know, is the more we know we don’t know.

  • Find all the unused acronyms -Part 7

How has technology changed your job?

My job has always been technology. So every day I worked technology changed my job.

This question is so broad and all encompassing. It’s almost impossible to answer.

    Even outside of work

    • Does anyone go from point A to point B without using some form of electronic maps.
    • My four-year-old grandson knows how to use Siri or Google or some form of help
    • if I type in the words, Constantino frozen almond sauce into a search engine I will get ads for it even though it’s not a real product
    • Every single run I do as a map, my average pace and how my hair looked
    • Everybody knows my credit score
    • Our birdfeeder has a camera on it, and I can watch every bird land on it

That’s not even inside my work.

    More-

  • We All Win

    We All Win

How often do you say “no” to things that would interfere with your goals?

The basic underlying assumption is that we are goal setters.

I know what direction I’m going, but I’m not an effective goal setter.

I receive a pass from the midfielder and breakdown the left-hand side of the pitch, and I want to score that goal. Breaking down the right side is someone who’s better than me so I expertly slot a pass that easily taps it in.

When is for the greater good it’s pretty easy to do.

  • The Area Under the Curve

What’s a secret skill or ability you have or wish you had?

Is Integral Foundation of all we don’t know.

I don’t know why I have the skill set, but I can do fairly complex math in my head

When I do it in public people look at me like you’re weird. But it does come in handy. It does help you know if you’re going in the right direction and how fast you’re going to get there? And I’m not talking on road trips or extended hikes. Because there are side trips to Dairy Queen or view on a mountain side.

But I certainly wish I was good at drywalling. That’s a dusty proposition.
