• Let’s make a Deal

    Describe your ideal week.

There are no ideal week. If there were I am living it right now. I am sitting on a park bench, in Berlin, sketching the world pass by.

The first week of September is a perfect backdrop for an ideal week.

The ideal week has no following week of going back. I am here for awhile.

  • If you had to give up one word that you use regularly, what would it be?

There isn’t one single “longest” word, as German’s ability to form compound words means new, long words can always be created, but Kraftfahrzeug-Haftpflichtversicherung(motor vehicle liability insurance) is a long and relatively common example found in official contexts like dictionaries.

I think I will drop this from my vocabulary as I never drive when I’m in Germany I take the bus or the train.

    Zug is a nice word.

  • Smudge

Are you holding a grudge? About?

I guess I do. I hold a grudge against billionaires who don’t give back to society therefore I don’t buy from Amazon.

The founder of Jimmy John’s sandwich chain is a big game hunter. I boycott them.

Hobby Lobby discriminate against any community that is non-white so boycott them.

Corporate greed is ridiculous and the least I can do is not buy from corporations that do not fit my definition of ethic responsibility.

So sure I hold a grudge.

  • What do you love about where you live?

When I moved to the Pacific Northwest, many years ago, I was drawn in by the summer being cooler than that of Washington DC.

It’s not that much different anymore. We have what is known as the fifth season. Where we go months without rain and then there’s wildfires. I rather abhor August.

Autumns in the Pacific Northwest are spectacular. They’ll get here soon.
